I cannot begin to express what an incredible experience I had with CEGA Air Ambulance…I had been hit by a snowboarder resulting in multiple fractures to my pelvis, sacrum and right arm. I was repatriated and had been contacted by CEGA staff regularly to keep us informed of all the arrangements, they were extremely thorough and professional, even to the extent of noting my egg and nut allergies for the provision of refreshments on the journey!...The care, constant monitoring and reassurance throughout the journey was second to none. CEGA's specialist nurse escorted my husband and I, together with all our ski equipment, in the private ambulance to Southampton General Hospital, all the way to my bed in the ward, taking the anxiety and stress out of the final stage of the journey...Please convey my thanks to all those involved, such superb service, dedication and professionalism, I am most grateful.

I wish to pass on both mine and my wife's extreme gratitude in the manner that your staff effected our recent repatriation from Spain. We were ready to depart when we were met with the news of the Volcano distruption whilst on the tarmac at Alicante Airport. The pilots adapted so professionally to the obstacles presented to them and the medical assistance provided was first class. We appreciate there was a whole army of staff working to get us back. We finally arrived at Exeter airport then made the final leg to Manchester by road. So to sum up well done to all at CEGA for making us probably the last aircraft into the UK for many days, we appreciate it.

Just a quick note to say thank you - Dad is now installed in the ITU at Southend and is still stable, despite the cross-continent journey today. The communications were excellent, and Mum was really well looked after, even though she was really the 'secondary' passenger. For such a big deal as an air ambulance transfer, this felt suprisingly easy....we are immensely grateful for the care taken and the all-inclusive approach to communications and ambulances.

I just wanted to thank CEGA for the excellent service my wife and I received during the journey from Torrevieca Hospital in Spain to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Northern Ireland. My wife had fractured her neck in two places, broken a bone in her right arm and had cracked some ribs. We were, therefore, very anxious about the journey back to Northern Ireland. Our anxiety was entirely misplaced, due to the actions of the captain, co-pilot and nurse. The crew soon had us relaxed and, strange as it may seem, we both enjoyed our flight home. The nurse was excellent in the care and attention she gave my wife throughout the entire journey and we were very grateful for all she did. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to all the crew and congratulations on a job well done.
